We haven't noticed this as an issue from only Podner's output. In random use, it appears that the iPod might do the following:
- It might pick up where the user left off when playing the movie in iTunes.
- It might pick up where the user left off when playing the movie on the iPod.
In all of our tests with "fresh" output that has never been played on the iPod before each movie has started at the beginning. We haven't had the opportunity to explore the two possible explanations yet.
The question we should answer now is, how random is the point that your movie files begin at? If you could, press the center button on your iPod as each movie starts, note the time at the bottom left of the screen and let us know. There could be a pattern to what you're seeing there that we haven't noticed. Also, please confirm which version of Podner you are using.
