Post subject:  downloading dvd formatted movies

Bought iPod for Christmas and was disappointed that I was not able to transfer and view movies. Received recommendation from a friend to purchase Podner which I did and cannot decode and transfer my primary movies. When I drag movie files that are disk images (.dmg and .cdr) nothing happens. I can easily decode and transfer quicktime movies with the extension .MOV but nothing else. Please advise.

Thanks,

Thank you for registering your copy of Podner!

Podner is capable of converting video clips from several encoding formats to iPod-friendly files, regardless of file extension, but it is not prepared to work with video contained in disk image files. It is also not suitable for converting DVD VOB files or VIDEO_TS folders. If the files in your disk images are not DVD VOB files or VIDEO_TS folders then you should be able to mount each image and drag the files within to Podner. Please let us know if this does not work in your case.
