While there's no AppleScript library for CheckBook, it's possible to use AppleScript to activate specific menu options in most any app on the Mac. So, you could use it to activate either the New Debit or New Deposit menu option found under the Entry menu, as a way of creating a new entry, just as an example. Then, you could simulate specific keypresses, from there, like a Tab keypress to move between fields and a Return keypress to activate the OK button. Using Schedules is the best way to automate the creation of recurring entries, though, supposing that's the goal—if you'd like to, you could even use AppleScript to automatically commit any scheduled entries you have pending in the Account you have selected at launch by using a script to activate the Schedule > Scheduled Entries menu option, followed by a script to simulate a Return keypress.
