I must be an idiot, but can't figure out how to reconcile my accounts. I downloaded a QFX file from my lender, but it is giving me an error that there is no program to open/read the file. Long time quicken user and not finding this program to be nearly as user friendly. Is it just me?

To open your QFX in CheckBook (Pro), you must import it. Under CheckBook (Pro)'s File menu at the top of the screen, select 'Import', and then 'OFX or QFX...' from the submenu. Navigate to your QFX file, select it, then you'll see a window with some import options. Hit the OK button and you'll see a preview of what's about to be imported. If everything looks OK you can hit the OK button at the bottom right and what you see in the preview should be added to the currently selected Account.

Now, to Reconcile, click on the Reconcile button down at the bottom of the window. Put checks in the empty boxes in the column with a checkbox at the top of it, to mark them as Resolved based on the comparison with your bank statement. Now just enter your balance from your bank statement in the field labeled 'Statement Balance.' If everything matches up right, the Reconcile button will become available, if so click on it and your Resolved entries will now be locked in as Reconciled in CheckBook (Pro).

I hope this helps!
