I just replaced the hard-drive on our iMac 27". I also upgraded the OS to Mountain Lion from Lion. When I try and enter a transaction everything seems to work fine until I enter it and then the amount the I put in reverts back to a "0.00" amount. I'm not sure what version of Checkbook I have (it's 2 years old), but I'm wondering if the version needs to be upgraded due to Mountain Lion or if this is a know bug when used on Mountain Lion? Thanks.

You're encountering an issue that shows up only when using an older version of CheckBook on Mountain Lion. We fixed that compatibility issue back in April when we released version 2.3.2, so you'll definitely want to update your copy of CheckBook now that you're running the latest operating system. To do that, choose 'Check for Updates…' from the CheckBook menu at the top of the screen.

Once that's all installed, you'll be able to change any submitted zero Amounts to the correct value and they should stick.
