Post subject:  question about Transfers

I'm not sure how to best use the program for this situation: When I import my credit card statement and my checking account statement, there are entries for payments to my cc from my checking acct, and corresponding debits in my checking acct statement. Should I delete these entries and manually create a Transfer entry so that the two accounts are linked? Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

Good question. CheckBook's Transfers are great when you have control of the process from end to end but less than ideal during an Import - a major reason you can't create Transfers during Import and also why CheckBook treats incoming Quicken Transfers as Debits or Deposits.

It's probably best to deselect the incoming transactions during the Import process so that they are not imported, and create Transfers after the Import is completed, or skip using Transfers altogether for this particular case.
