| Post subject: | problem with date preferences |
I'm using Checkbook Pro. I cannot get the date preferences formats to match my system date formats. I am getting a DD/MM/YYYY format option, even though in my international preferences I have selected a MM/DD/YYYY format. I've tried switching the system format back and forth to the two formats to see if something would click, but nothing is happening. I tried to trash and re-install the program, but it's pulling up my existing account files. I searched for the account files, but can't find them to delete them and start over (I've exported to qif and txt my existing account info so I can import). Any suggestions welcome. |

Can you make sure your shortest date format in the International preferences is set to MM/DD/YYYY? Don't worry about the Accounts file - CheckBook's method of honoring the preferred date format is independent of the data. |

It is. I just noticed that when I do an entry (debit or deposit) the date format is correct (mm/dd/yyyy). It is just in the register that it is showing up DD/M/YYYY. And if I switch the system date format preference to DD/MM/YYYY, it does change in the entry dialog. |

Are you using CheckBook Pro 2.0.4? It seems like we might have made a slight adjustment before 2.0.4 that would've addressed that issue. |
