Hi all, new guy here...

So where does the real .plist live?? Is it the one in Documents? Can I put it where I want? If I lose it, can I copy the one I put on my USB chip?

Now my next question(s). I do a save at 1:pm. It doesn't change the modified date on the .plist entry in Documents folder but if I restart Checkbook the data is correct... Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks...

Bill

It lives here: ~user > Library > Application Support > Checkbook2 > Accounts.plist

If there's one in Documents, perhaps it's a vestige of an old version or a copy that you placed there at one time, maybe doing a "backup accounts..." and landing the copy in there.

Try this: Open the User Application Support folder and then open CB. Note the date/time next to Accounts.plist. Click on CB to make it active. Type command-S (save) and the date and time next to the plist file will change immediately.
