Post subject:  Importing csv files to debit entries?

Hello,
I just recently purchased cashbook pro and as far I really like it. I have question about importing txt files. I set the account for this financial year and I want to import my expenses and income in csv files. I successfully imported my income data under deposit entries but I can't find the way to change the import for my expenses to go under debit entries in the same account. It is automatically importing as a deposit entries. Is there a way or do I have to set different account for my expenses and incomes? Any advice appreciate. Thank you. Aussieczech

Can you open up your text file that you are importing and see how the debit entries are created? Do they use parenthesis or a negative sign to show it is a negative number or some other system to show a negative number? If you don't mind, you could also email us at support@splasm.com with a small snippet of the text import that is not working properly so we can look at it. Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you, it did work. I just customised the blackberry apps export simply assigning minus for amount column.
Thanks again for your help.
