One of the new features as stated in the release notes is:


How do I set this up?
I looked in the help file and found nothing.
I looked at all the smart folder filter options and found no hints.

Please could you post a tutorial so that I can get this working.

This is automatic. If you have a Smart folder that contains entries in multiple currencies, it will perform a currency conversion for the total of that Smart Folder in your base currency.

I don't understand.

If I have an account and the base currency for that account is GBP, then I can not enter a USD or EUR amount, as it always reverts to zero (0 GPB) amount.

The majority of my accounts are in USD, but I do have one GBP account that I track. How do I see the total, or even just the total for a smart folder in USD?

Please could you post step by step instructions, as I must be missing something.

You will need to be in the All Accounts section and then create a smart folder to have it convert its total to your base currency. CheckBook does not yet have a way to show an Account's balance or Smart Folder totals in a currency other than its own currency. We just added this to our request list and we can look at including it in a future release. It's a great suggestion!
