Hello,
I just purchased Checkbook Pro, mainly because it said it can import QXF files from Quicken Essentials. I created the checking account, went to File>Import, selected the "Quicken Essentials for Mac" option (also tried the OFX or QFX option), and nothing happens. No new window, no error, no crash. Just nothing. I read through the help section, just to be sure I'm not missing something, but import is really a no-brainer. :(

I am using OSX Lion on a 27" iMac i7 w/ 8GB RAM.

Thanks in advance for your help.

CheckBook Pro can import from Quicken Essentials, but it will not import QXF files. To import from Quicken Essentials, you will want to select the QuickenData file. The icon should look like a red page with a white Q on it, with QUICKENDATA written on the lower part of the page in the icon. The file suffix, if they are shown, should be .quickendata

Let us know if this helps in importing from Quicken Essentials.

Direct import from .quickendata worked. It's a little confusing to see an option under File>Import for OFX or QFX selection, but not actually be able to import QFX files. A quick blurb in the Help section could clear this up (I didn't find any help regarding the quickendata import). Just a little constructive feedback :D

Otherwise, I like this product. Very easy to use! Thanks for the help :D

The more confusing part is QFX and QXF are two different formats. QFX is based on the OFX standard, so CheckBook can import it. QXF is a proprietary Intuit format, therefore it is not a standard and CheckBook cannot import it. I hope that helps!
