I imported old Quicken files to Checkbook running Lion and some of the dates came out way in the future like year 24. There are lots of entries so it would take a very long time to correct them. Is there anything I could do to avoid this from happening? As I'm just setting things up I can start easily just start a new account. TIA

Sounds like a date format issue, all right.

When you import into CheckBook you choose the file to import from, then an Import Options window appears. Look for the Date Format near the top of the window. It's hard to know the exact format without looking at the Quicken file but it's usually either MM/DD/YY or MM/DD/YYYY. When you continue from that window you'll see a preview of what's about to be added to CheckBook. Check the dates there - and if they're not right, use the Go Back button at the bottom of the window to return to the Import Options window where you can choose a different date format.

Does that help?

Thanks for quick reply. I thought I did this on first transfer but just redid into new account and dates were fine. Maybe it was because I had some newer entries I had already added manually. But forget that as we can just add those to newest account with the correct dates as it will take way less time that changing all those dates in first transfer.
Love the Checkbook program so far. It sure is worth the price and support is far better than my old Quicken.
Thanks again. :D
