CheckBook can import Text so you should be able to bring in those entries. To begin a text import, Go to the File menu at the top of the screen and choose Import>Text or CSV. From there, you can locate your text file you downloaded from your bank and indicate whether it is tab delimited or comma separated. If you are not sure, you can open the text file with text edit and look to see if groups seem to be separated by spaces (tab-delimited) or commas (comma-separated). The next window should show you a list of fields found in the file in the Import row, with a row of corresponding CheckBook rows to match. You can pick which columns you want for each. when you hit OK on this window, CheckBook will show you a preview of how your entries will look with those import settings. If you need to make adjustments or something isn't appearing right, just use the 'Go Back' button and modify your settings and try again. Once it has all been set up, you can OK the preview window and commit those entries to your account. CheckBook will save your settings so the import should work fine the next time without any adjustments.
If you are still having issues, you could send us a small sample of the text export to
support@splasm.com and we could take a look at it and make sure it is working properly here as well.
