While trying to import CSV files to Checkbook Pro from my download folder all transactions are showing up with zero balances or it shows I am the richest man in the world. Either way the transactions are worthless. What do I need to do to correct the issue.

When I download from my back it goes directly to my download folder, from which I import to what ever application I desire. Why does it not work for this app? If it is not going to work I want to return the application for a full refund, ASAP.

One suggestion would be to try to use a different format. I had good luck with QIF (Quicken) format.

Also, how many accounts are you downloading/importing in a single file? I had trouble when I downloaded ALL my accounts (checking, savings. money market) in file and then tried to download. When I processed each account separately, it worked perfectly.

CSV formatting can have many variations (there is no true format rules so anything goes), so it may require some tweaking to get it right for your bank. Some banks export all transactions under one column amount. Others will export a column of negative transaction amounts and a column of positive transaction amounts. You will need to figure out what your Bank does in that situation. Once it has been imported successfully once, CheckBook will save those settings and you won't have to do it again.

If you are having trouble, you can always try exporting a couple transactions to a CSV and send it to support@splasm.com, and we can take a look at it and show you optimal import settings. If there is a problem with importing that particular CSV, we can work to resolve it.

Thanks!
