Splasm Software Discussions

When I import data from my banking account into checkbook pro, it doesn't autofill the categories for me for transactions with the same merchant etc. I have "autofill categories" checked under the Entry tab in the preferences. Is there something I need to do differently? (I have tried, checking and unchecking the checkbox, but this hasn't changed anything).

CheckBook Pro decides what to autofill with on the fly, so it will autofill the Category with the same information from the most recent matching To/From entry. So, once you input a merchant in the To or From field and type in a Category, the next entry to or from that same merchant will autofill with the same Category--once you tab from the To/From field, that is. However, if you input the same merchant again and leave the Category blank, the next time you input something to or from said merchant, CheckBook Pro will autofill with nothing since nothing was the previously used Category matched up with that merchant.
