To pay your credit card bill from your Checking Account in CheckBook, you could treat it as a transfer/Linked Entry to save yourself the extra step of entering the payment as a Deposit in your separate Credit Card Account.
When you create the Debit Entry in your Checking Account, look to the left of the To field, at the field label where it actually says "To". You can click on the field label and get another option - "To Account". Select it and the To field will become a popup button with a menu of all your other Accounts. Select the Credit Card Account to transfer funds to it and you're set. Finish up the Entry and hit the OK button at the bottom right and you'll see the Debit Entry in Checking and the corresponding Deposit Entry in the other Account.
