Quicken can export a Q
XF file but that's not the same as a Q
FX file. The names are pretty confusingly similar but they're very different types of files. To migrate data from Quicken 2007 or earlier you'll need to export a QIF file. To migrate from Quicken Essentials you can import the Quicken Essentials Data file directly.

I have just purchased the Checkbook Pro, very excited since I have yet to decide on checkbook program after just becoming a macbook pro owner and being a quicken user for the past 10 years. I wanted to download from my bank's website. I downloaded the csv format file (that was the only option they gave me), then tried to import the file to checkbook pro, however once I choose to to import the program the program quit unexpectedly. Please HeLp!!
Thank you and Happy New Year!
It's likely you've hit one of two potential issues with CheckBook Pro's CSV import. Punctuation in some column headers can lead to a crash and extraneous data between the header row and the first data row can also lead to a crash. I'd be happy to test a sample from your bank and help find a way to get the data imported. An export for a single day with actual transactions will do, as long as you see the crash with that file there. If you get a file together send it to
