Is the account file listed in the advanced section of the preferences the same as the backup file accessed from the main menu? If these are seperate files, which one is automatically saved when you exit Checkbook Pro and where is the backup file? |

When you exit, the file saved (Accounts.plist, I believe) is in the Splasm folder in your user files. The "backup" is a separate copy placed on your desktop for saving elsewhere. You would have to navigate to the actual Splasm file to replace what's in there with it. Except for ease of saving it to a thumb drive or emailing, i dont think it has too much value. I don't think the two are related. |

I always save my backup file to Dropbox. I've had to replace my data file [accounts.plist] once and it was an easy drop from Dropbox to where my Splasm folder is on my disk. |
