I have it set as I want in System Preferences, but in the Debit Date field it persists in starting the week on Monday.

This is with V2.5 on an iMac running 10.6.8.

Thanks!

Not sure what you're seeing. In CBPro preferences, you can set the date for new entries to be either the last date entered or today's date. There is no way that I can see to change when the first day of the week is. It is the date/time format in System Preferences that CBPro uses. I do not believe the starting day of the week is effected in any way.

The drop-down calendar in my CBPro entry box has the week starting on Sunday. Is this what you are looking at? I still don't know how that can be changed...

Up until one of the upgrades (V2.5?) the calendar in the CheckBook Pro date entry field showed weeks starting on Sunday. Now they are shown to start on a Monday. I already have checked my System Preferences and it is set for the week to begin on Sunday.

Hmm. The CBPro calendar for me shows weeks starting on Sunday. That is my preference in System Prefs.

Sounds like a question for Keith or Allan...

CheckBook Pro does pull the Calendar setup straight from the System Preferences. Send us a screenshot of what you see there to support@splasm.com?

First off, even if the correct setting shows in the Language & Text System Preferences, you might also check that the Date & Time Calendar reflects the correct weekday start—that's where CheckBook Pro will pull from. So, under the System Prefs, click on the Date & Time option, and then click the Date & Time button at the top of those Date & Time Prefs. What do you see in the Calendar there?

No matter what, try restarting to see if that helps.

I restarted my iMac, started up CheckBook Pro, with the same results. My OS is set for Sunday start of week, and CBP still wants to start on Monday.

Screen shots attached (I hope).

Again, I'm running OS X 10.6.8 and CBP V2.5. Oh, and the only place I can see in System Preferences that would have any effect on the starting day is Language and Text System Preferences. I see nothing that is related in Date & Time.

International settings, perhaps.

Off topic: I can see the attachments on my iPad,but not on my iMac (Firefox) (only the attachment names). Safari works, though.
Any ideas why?

Thanks for the screenshots. We were asking to see the Date & Time section under the System Preferences, though. Try opening the System Prefs again, click on the Date & Time option, and then click the Date & Time button at the top of those Date & Time Prefs. If it's the same Calendar displayed there as what shows in CheckBook Pro, it tells us that the Date Picker on your Mac is what's having difficulties. Thanks!

@t3rockhall : It just looks like Firefox has problems displaying TIFFs—we're seeing the same thing you're describing here.

Allan:

My apologies. I misunderstood.

Is this the screen shot you wanted?

Thanks for posting that new screenshot! It is particularly strange that the calendars don't match.

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you change the Region back in that Language & Text section of the System Preferences. You have it set to 'United States (Computer)', so try just 'United States' there. Also, be sure to Quit and relaunch CheckBook Pro after making that change to see if it helped.

No change. CBP still starts the week with Monday.

I also tried setting the preferences to Monday, starting CBP, closing CBP, setting the preferences back to Sunday and then restarting CBP but, again, no change. CBP seems to like starting the week on Monday... :-)

Would you mind checking to see if this is exclusive to your current User Account? For that, log in as Guest, launch CheckBook Pro, make a new Entry, and see how the Calendar looks there.

Same behavior.

FWIW, I normally use CBP on my desktop but installed it on a notebook when I was on an extended vacation to keep track of expenses. I hope that isn't a violation of the license. (BTW - where can I find a copy of the license?)

So I just upgraded to CBP 2.5 on the notebook which had previously been running 2.3.2, and is running OS X 10.7.5 and the date entry seems to work as expected.

So my problem seems to be limited to my desktop running 10.6.8.
