I've used Checkbook for years, but there's something I can't figure out. I see references in the forums to using folders contained in accounts. How on earth do I make these folders? Thanks, Jessi |

Ah. Answering my own question: I guess I only have Checkbook, not Checkbook Pro. |

Hi! At the bottom of the Account pop-out drawer, you will see two icons—a plus sign and a pencil. Select the account you want to create a folder in and click on the plus sign and you will see a drop down menu: New Account, New Folder, New Smart Folder. I use Smart Folders to list only those transactions that contain certain criteria, such as specific categories or specific dates, or specific vendors, the sky is really the limit. You can also create folders and smart folders nested within the All Accounts folder which means your criteria can be used to contain transactions across all your accounts. i.e. I've got a smart folder under All Accounts that lets me know what I've spent on fuel this year. You can really do most anything by creating folders that match criteria you find important. Good luck! |
