Seems that has been requested before in the suggestions forum. It is a good one that I, too, would like to see implemented as now I have to do the same thing as you and put in two different entries!

| Post subject: | Tax Deductibility in a Split Entry |
I am trying to determine whether one part of a split entry can be designated as "tax deductible." For example, I purchase a prescription from my drug store(tax deductible)along with an other item which is not tax deductible. I have been making two separate entries in the register as a work around. Seems to me there should be some way of noting the tax deductible item in the split. Many thanks for any suggestions. |
