I just started using Checkbook Pro and thought I understood that I could somehow create a report for several accounts.

Here's an example: I have each CD as a separate account in Checkbook. I would like to print a month end report of the interest credited to each one and totaled for all of them. I know how to do it for each one separately - how do I group them to print one report? I can't find any choices in the report setup which allows me to choose the accounts I want included.

CheckBook Pro will let you summarize all Accounts at the same time but it does not provide a way to choose an arbitrary group of Accounts to summarize. The All Accounts Summary also does not yet provide subtotals per Account, so getting a separate totals for interest earned won't work without some tinkering to somehow make the original To/From, Description, Type or Category unique for each.

To get a Summary of all Accounts select All Accounts in the Accounts drawer, then click on Summary at the bottom of the window. Printing from there should get you a hard copy of the same data displayed in the window.

Thanks Keith

As usual, I figured it out to be exactly as you describe above just a few minutes after I sent my post. No big deal not being able to select the accounts to summarize. It might be a nice feature to consider sometime when you have nothing else to work on. posting.php?mode=quote&f=3&p=1733&sid=0e85a51176081c30760424a72fbaedd6#
