Hi, I like this kinda support, so I have read through many of the posts and my basic question is what is the real big difference from checkbook and checkbook pro? I went through the material but I just want a couple of the big ones. Maybe it would help to know what I want to do. I have 3 checkbooks, a couple of savings and several credit cards. One thing I want to do is look at visual graph of how I am spending my money. I am a visual learner. I have the Quickbooks software (the big one, got it free because of a store error, but I haven't had time to learn it all.) I just got my first Mac!!! and I need someway to get organized now without the large learning curve. Thanks, RT |

The biggest differences between CheckBook and CheckBook Pro is the Ability to analyze all of your accounts at once using the 'All accounts' section with summaries, the introduction of Folders and Smart Folders to organize and archive entries, Multiple Entry Change for mass manipulation of entries, and a Global schedule reminder to get all of your scheduled entries in one place. The other advantage of Pro is that any major feature upgrade will come to Pro, while regular CheckBook features will stay on the 'lite' side of feature sets. Summaries on both CheckBook and CheckBook Pro include a bar graph representation of spending, and can display Category and subcategory spending. Feel free to try either or both Applications. They are free to try up to 50 entries per account, and they both share the same account information so you only have to enter data once. Thanks for the questions! |
