I set up a smart folder looking for transactions of a certain category in the last 6 months. To me, "in the last 6 months" means starting today and going back 6 months. So, since today is 6/16/2014, I would expect the result to include transactions beginning 12/16/2013 through today. But I have transactions dated 12/22/13 that do not appear. Is this a bug, or do you disagree with my understanding of the definition of "in the last 6 months"? |

That Smart Folder setting is currently defined in the code such that it includes six full months back, with the current one factored-in. So, only Entries with a date falling in June (1), May (2), April (3), March (4), February (5), or January (6) will appear. The thought that it should include everything from the current day all the way back to exactly six months ago is a valid one, so we can certainly look into how we might redefine things to be more clear. For what you're looking to achieve now, though, try using either 'Date is in the last 7 months', so that December's included too, or use 'Date is between 12/16/2013 and 6/16/2014'. |

I vote YES on this one. Right after Moneybug. |

Thanks, Allan.... yes I did set it to 7 months as a workaround, but I would vote for a change to have the filter select transactions back to the corresponding day of the month, however many months were indicated. In fact, as it now works, going back to the beginning of January, you don't get 6 full months, as you stated, but rather about 5-1/2 months in my example. |
