I'm in the process of moving CheckBook from one user on a Mac to another user on the same Mac. I did a backup of the data to Dropbox, opened from the other user and saved the data to a local hard drive. Now I would like to move the preferences. There is no such directory as ~/Library/Preferences/CheckBook, as mentioned in one of the forum posts. Where is the preferences file located? Thanks. |

Take a look in iCloud in System Preferences, then click MANAGE on the bottom right. It's probably there. I think that's all there is. |

I do find a Checkbook Preferences file in the Library, in a SPLASM folder, but all the items in it seem old. I suspect that the preferences are now part of the regular data file. IIRC, when I asked Splasm about using my CB Pro on another person's (older) Mac when I traveled, they said all I needed was to copy the app and the backup file and note the serial number, of course.No mention was made of the preferences file. |
