Splasm Software Discussions

I just downloaded Checkbook Pro and am attempting to import a qdfm backup file from Quicken 2004, with no success, I just get a screen that reads (importing from backup Quicken qdfm) but nothing happens. I hope you can help, this appears to be the kind of program I have been looking for.
Thanks, Larry
Mac Pro OS 10.5.5

PS - I used all three formats - OFX, QIF and Text

Hi Larry, just to take a stab at this (I don't work at Splasm, and I don't have Quicken), I'm guessing that maybe CBP can't directly read quicken qdfm files. However, quicken probably has an ability to export QIF or OFX files, just like CBP has the ability to export in these formats. Export your Quicken data in one of these files, and then try loading those transactions in to CBP using the import feature. Hope that gets you closer-

Thanks blustery,
I exported the qdfm file to the desktop and was able to import it into CBP. Quicken didn’t give me the choice of changing the format, but I guess the fact that I “exported”, before I was using “save a copy” and CBP would not pick it up. Thanks again.
