I wonder if anyone can help me with this: I've been using Checkbook for a while, but I want to start 2009 with a clean slate. Is there a way to archive the data I've entered up till now, and start a new file with all new categories etc for 2009. I'm sure there must be a data file somewhere, but I don't know where? Also, on a totally unrelated topic... I'm currently using v 1.8.1 and I see there's a version 2 new. Can I buy an upgrade or do i have to pay for a whole v2 licence? Many thanks, Andy |

Andy, You can backup your accounts using the 'Backup Accounts...' option under the file menu at the top of the screen. Save your old data in a safe place, and then you can proceed to remove your old accounts and make new ones via the account menu at the top of the screen. If you ordered CheckBook after Sept. 1st, 2006, you are eligible for a free upgrade to CheckBook Pro. If you ordered before then, you are still eligible for a 40 percent discount off the price of the 2.0 version of CheckBook or CheckBook Pro.
