I switched from MBPro to iMac about half a year ago, and want to have CBP when we go on holidays, etc (seeing as iOS app is still in development stage  ) so I just bought an MBAir 11 for that purpose.

I understand I can use the same licence on a second Mac, as long as it's not at the same time, which is exactly the case here.

My CBP was purchased via Apple App Store.
Are there any specific steps, etc I need to follow to get it installed on a second Mac? It will be running macOS Sonoma, if that makes any difference.

Here's a link to an Apple Support page that goes over the specific steps you need to follow to get the app installed on the second Mac: https://support.apple.com/guide/app-sto ... 0fb69db23/. The process is the same for all App Store purchases, basically.

If you'd also like to setup automated syncing, the easiest option would be to move your Accounts document to your iCloud Drive folder—do that by opening CheckBook Pro on your iMac, going up to click the File menu, and accessing the Move To menu option. Then, once the app is up and running on the MacBook, head to the same File menu and use the Open menu option to navigate to and open your document from where you just moved it in your iCloud Drive folder.
