I have a couple of transfers between accounts that occur somewhat regularly, but not regular enough to consider scheduling. For the heck of it I highlighted the last one, selected Duplicate Entry in the Entry menu and simply changed the date in the box for the new entry. It seemed to work fine, so I did the same thing with a couple more. I don't know if that was an intended use, but it was easier than going through the whole Transfer process whenever I need to make the entry.

I do something similar with other payments (credit cards, etc.). All I do is select Duplicate Entry, change the date and the amount, and it falls into place right where it belongs.

Do you see any problem in doing this? Thanks.

Those are excellent use cases for the Duplicate Entry option! So, we wouldn't expect any problems whatsoever.

Excellent. Good to know. I was getting a little frustrated entering Transfer entries and discovered I was being inconsistent in how I did it from one entry to the next. When I finally got it right, that's when I figured I'd effectively copy/paste by using the Duplicate Entry option. When it worked, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't messing up the system.

Thanks!
