I'm not finding a way to clear the customized date option when creating new transactions, nor in modifying previous transactions. Once I chose OK, any attempt to delete all entries with the Cancel button does nothing.

Any hints?

There's not exactly a way to clear the Customize sheet out completely. But, if you're perhaps using the "Repeat Every 1 Month(s)" option now, you could switch to using the "Repeat Monthly" option, instead, so as to avoid having to select a specific day of the month, just as an example. Or, supposing you need to change the Customize setting to something else, be sure you make your new selection before deselecting what was set previously—this is important because the sheet won't let there be no selection, whatsoever, applied.

Much obliged for the strategy tip.

But couldn't a way be devised for the "Cancel" button to actually cancel? Or add a "Clear" button?

The Cancel button currently works to cancel-out the latest edits, ie prevent recent changes from being saved, but we can certainly consider including a Clear button as well that resets to the default settings. Thanks for the suggestion!
