| Post subject: | Sort Account Summaries |
I created an account summary that displays subtotals for a specified date range. I would like to sort by amount, but I can't find a way to do it. Is this possible and if not is it possible to export the summary so it can be sorted in Excel / Numbers / Google Sheets? |

There isn't a way to sort subtotals in an Account Summary. Just to be sure, you'd like to sort be able to sort alphabetically or by subtotal amount, ascending or descending? We'll make that a feature request so we can think on it. There isn't a way to export an Account Summary in a tabular format so you can move the data over to a spreadsheet, either. I believe we already have a request for that, though, so I'll bump it up a vote for you. You could try exporting (or copying) Entries for the date range you need and working it all out in your spreadsheet of choice. I'd expect it to get a little dicey, but not impossible, if split line items are involved, though. They inherit their parent Entry's values for each of their blank fields, potentially skewing simple subtotaling. Copying and pasting from a printed PDF gets tricky, too, so I wouldn't go that route unless you're quick with spotting and correcting weirdness. |
