I purchased CheckBook 3 [version 3.0.3 (2147)] a few days ago.

When I attempt to import my Quicken 2017 data file, I get the following error:

"The file "Christopher's finances.quicken2017" can't be imported because it doesn't contain any accounts."

Does anyone have any insight, or ideas that I can try?

Thank you,
Chris

That message usually means there's no accounts data to be found in the referenced file, or there's some issue with the file's formatting. Checking the raw data might be the only way of confirming the situation—which you're welcome to send to us at support@splasm.com—but you may want to start by checking that you're for sure dealing with your up-to-date Quicken, not some blank backup. To do that, open Quicken, go to the File menu, near the top left corner of the screen, and click the Show “Document Name Here” in Finder menu item. That takes you right to the file being viewed, which may or may not be the exact Chris's finances.quicken2017 file referenced in the message.

Or, worst case scenario, you could export from Quicken to a transfer format like QIF or QMTF.

OK, I found the problem. I had a file password set. Duh.

To correct this (in Quicken 2017), in the File drop down menu, select "Set File Password..." and remove the password.
