I guess this is a feature request:

I'm looking for an intuitive way to manage all the fields of entries with a degree of automation.

With a rules system, I would be able to create, edit or delete a rule for all new imported entries. For eg, in my email app, rules can be like this

Most finance apps I've used, have some kind of "memorisation" system thats not very accessible.

Smart Folders work a lot like what's shown in your example, but that's a feature exclusive to the Pro version. Unfortunately, there's also not currently a Smart Folder criteria setting that could serve as a way of quickly differentiating between imported versus manually-entered items. We're happy to look at including something like that in a future version, though!
