I recently had my 2017 iMac upgraded from the Fusion Drive to a new 2TB SSD. Before doing so, I copied all of my Checkbook Pro files and data to my M1 MacBook Air Laptop where it's working fine.

After doing Time Machine Restore to the 2017 iMac, Checkbook Pro hangs when I try to run it. If I delete the data files, it will startup, tell me that the files are missing and offer to load the data file, create a new account, etc. When I use any of those options it hangs. I don't typically run it from my Laptop so I need to get it working on my iMac.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

You might start by reinstalling CheckBook Pro, just so we're sure you have a solid copy of the app in place. To do that, drag the existing version to the Trash, then visit our site at https://www.splasm.com/checkbookpro/upd ... plasmstore and follow the directions below where it says "Splasm Store Users", there. After that, if issues persist, you'll want to try manually copying a fresh backup over from the MacBook to the iMac. Then, be sure CheckBook Pro isn't running and double-click the copied-over backup, to see if that helps clear things up.

Thanks Allan,

I actually got it working before seeing your response by deleting all of the data for Checkbook Pro, reinstalling and running it, creating a new checkbook to make sure it was working. I then restored the data from a backup and it was back in business.

It's great to hear that did the trick!
