I just started using the program after switching from a PC to a Mac. I've used Quicken for many years. The only problem I have at this time is entering transactions. When using Quicken, you just entered the data directly into the checkbook register line and could just keep hitting enter to go through all of the fields and then continue straight into the next transaction. With CheckBook, you have to click on the icon to open another small window to enter the transaction... then you have to use the mouse and click to start another transaction. It's just not a smooth entry process. If you're just entering one or two transactions, this isn't too bad; but, on bill pay nights, I find it more time consuming. Is there a way to just keep entering one transaction after another without switching back and forth between the keyboard and the mouse?
Other than that, I just have one suggestion... separate columns on the register for debits and credits... like most check registers have.
REVISION:
I did figure out that you can do "Command -" or "Command +" in order to avoid using the mouse to start a new entry. But, I also decided that I don't like that Type is a drop down menu and you can't tab to it. If you need to change the Type, you once again have to use the mouse. Then it defaults back for the next entry and you have to change it again. I really wish you could just "return" or tab through all fields and then into the next transaction. Transaction entry really was much easier in Quicken. I'm really wishing that Quicken for Mac didn't get such horrible reviews.
